PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION & RESEARCH CONSULTING

Trainings: As a highly accomplished public speaker, I have trained thousands of clinicians and educators. I'm a practicing clinician, so I filter the most relevant current literature paired with actual cases for direct learning opportunities in the audience. Using my own clinical pitfalls and missteps, I utilize humor, interprofessional focus, and pragmatism, ensuring the clinicians leave each training with knowledge to apply in their next day of clinic.

I've had the privilege of speaking for the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) numerous times as well as to the Academy of Neurological Communication Disorders and Sciences (ANCDS). I'm comfortable both in-person and virtually, speaking on TBI best practices at state and provincial  conferences. Additionally, I create specialized trainings for healthcare and educational organizations, by working to address the unique needs of each care site, from interprofessional teaming in mild TBI to improving referrals for SLP care success.

Research and Administrative Consulting: I provide in-depth consulting elements for research and clinical administration. Using principles of epidemiology, biostatistics, and qualitative inquiry to enhance functional outcomes, I offer subject matter expertise for TBI, long COVID, and celiac disease. As a speech-language pathologist, I offer research services ensuring that patient-level communication measures meet standards for clarity and reading comprehension.

I also assist clinics with implementation of current evidence to ensure that their care models incorporate key elements for clinical success and client-centered functional outcomes.
